Some things I’d like to remember:
1. Lying on my back in the Port Chester high school football field watching the most incredible Fourth of July fireworks show I’d ever seen.
2. Walking the length of the crowded NYC High-Line alone at sunset.
3. Attempting to dry my shirt with a bathroom hand dryer at Grand Central Station before a job interview after getting soaked by a surprise downpour.
4. Stoned hurricane weekend spent watching Captain Ron and peering out the window at the storm every few hours throughout the night.
5. Listening to recordings of Stan Getz & Oscar Peterson Trio while making dinner for myself in a friend’s kitchen.
6. Drinking Sofia Coppola canned champagne while attending a dog fashion show at Bergdorf-Goodman during Fashion Week.
7. Walking back through Chinatown in the rain after buying a half-dozen Cha Sui Bows from my favorite bakery.
